The Mehta Private Limited, established in 1940 as a textile company, is one of the earliest Indian ventures of founder Shri Nanjibhai Kalidas Mehta. It is a renowned name in fabrics and ready-made garments with an annual turnover of US$ 2.5 million. It is also engaged in exporting commodities like
fly-ash, engineering goods, fashion accessories and corporate gifts. The company began operations as a trading wing for marketing the products of Maharana Mills Limited. Mehta Private Limited today distributes fabric produced by several textile mills. The company also exports spares and plans to service other needs of the Group.
The products comply with quality standards of the Middle East, US, UK and other European countries. The company also has a range of silk evening bags.

TransAfrica Commerce Ltd. (TAC) was incorporated in October 1994 as an international trading arm of The Mehta Group. TAC deals in a diverse range of products sourced from various countries. TAC's portfolio covers the electrical, engineering, agriculture chemicals and construction sectors. Products are sourced from Sweden, UK, USA, Canada, UAE, India, China, South Africa, Zambia and Kenya.
