Truth or Lies?
You are traveling down a path and come to a fork in the road. A sign lays fallen at the path indicating that one path leads to a village where everyone tells the truth and the other to a village where everyone tells lies. The sign has been knocked down so you do not know which path leads to which village. Then someone from one of the villages (you don't know which one) comes down the path from which you came. You may ask him one question to determine which path goes to which village. What question do you ask?
If you think you can work out the correct answer to this puzzle, please send in your entry to Ms Cynthia Rodricks at cynthia@mehtagroup.com One correct entry from each location will win an exciting prize. The contest is open for employees only.

Results Of The
Snail Trail Puzzle
There was an overwhelming response to the Snail Trail Puzzle. Congratulations to all the winners. Your prizes are on the way. The correct solution is: On the first day, the snail climbs up 7 ft and slips down 5 ft while sleeping. So, next morning, it is 2 ft from where it started. The snail thus travels 2 ft upwards every day. Therefore, in 11 days, it has traveled a distance of 22 ft from the bottom. Here lies the catch to the problem! On the last day, the snail travels 7 ft upwards and hence reaches the top of the wall in a total of 12 days.

Be Prepared
Emergencies can happen at any time and it always makes sense to be well prepared. Grab-and-run emergency kits should be kept in a readily accessible place known to all members of the family and should cover one's basic needs of at least three days. (Apart from this, it is a good idea to have food and provision stocks of at least two weeks in the home at all times)

Here's a suggested check-list (may be stored in a backpack or a duffel bag):

Torch/flashlight (LED bulbs use less power and last longer)
AM/FM radio
Extra batteries in varying sizes
Candles/matches/lighter
Manual can opener & Swiss army pen-knife (or any multi-tool pen-knife scissors, screwdriver and plier)
