HARE BRAINED

Haretown and Tortoiseville are 40 miles apart. A hare travels at 7 miles per hour from Haretown to Tortoiseville, while a tortoise travels at 1 mile per hour from Tortoiseville to Haretown.
If both set out at the same time, how many miles will the hare have to travel before meeting the tortoise en route?

Can you solve this problem? Email your entries to cynthia@mehtagroup.com or send in your entries with your name, designation and location to Cynthia Rodricks at the Head Office address, Mumbai. One lucky winner will be picked from the correct entries from each location. Look out for the answer in the next issue.
